One of the largest users groups in the world, The Apple Library Users Group (ALUG) includes school, public, academic and corporate librarians as well as individuals interested in using Apple computers to manage information. ALUG is a forum for librarians, media specialists, and information professionals to share information with one another about their use of Apple IIs, Apple ///s, Macs and even Lisas! Founded in 1981 with 25 members, this group now numbers nearly 10,000 and has members from around the world, including the People's Republic of China, San Quentin Prison, and the Library of Congress. The common bond of all of these members is that they all work in libraries and they all use Apple computers.
