[*] The ProFormance 40 can be expanded with a 4MB DRAM module which increases QuickTime- and 3D-acceleration.

The ProFormance cards are the absolute top models among the PCI graphic accelerators. The ProFormance cards have been fitted with the new Imagine II chip.
In comparison to the Imagine I, it has three main advantages:

Fullscreen playback of QuickTime and MPEG movies, acceleration of 3D models in real time, and an increase in speed of up to 50% in comparison to the ProVision2 and ProVision4 series. The ProFormance cards allow resolutions up to 1920 x 1080 pixel with full 16.7 million colour (8MB version) and 1920 x 1200 pixel at 16 bit (8MB version), allowing an easy connection of the new 24" monitors.
