Back up existing kernel
# cp /unix /unix.2009.8.30 # /etc/autoconfig
You can stop in maintenance mode, go to command monitor, then type sash. sash will prompt for a kernel, type /unix.2009.8.30 to boot from you old kernel.
You can make symbolic links and boot off the kernel du-jour with different options..
# ln -s /unix.test1 /unix

NAME autoconfig - configure kernel SYNOPSIS /etc/autoconfig [-vnf] [-p toolroot] [-d /var/sysgen] [-o lbootopts] [start|stop] DESCRIPTION The autoconfig command is used invoke lboot and other commands to generate a UNIX kernel. The autoconfig command is also a startup script in /etc/init.d.
