Leadtek WinFast U2-160 SCSI Controller
The WinFast U2-160, based on the LSI Symbios SYM53C896 Ultra2 SCSI controller, provides two independent Wide Ultra2 SCSI channels capable of handling up to 30 SCSI devices. Slow I/O transfer has always been a performance barrier on heavy-duty servers. A solid bridge is becoming a necessary element between fast growing hardware processing power and complex software applications when handling data transfer. A high-bandwidth SCSI card plays an important role in releasing this bottleneck. It is also a cost-effective way to upgrade server performance and increase business efficiency.
Many demanding environments also require a robust SCSI interface to achieve real-time performance such as 3D graphics animation/authoring, video editing/streaming, scientific modeling and large-scale database management.

- Up to 40 MB/sec data transfer rate per channel in 8-bit mode
- Up to 80MB/sec data transfer rate per channel in 16-bit mode
- Selectable 112 or 944-byte DMA FIFO buffer for backward compatibility
- Cache line streaming for improved PCI bus utilization
- Dual Address Cycle (DAC) provides greater system memory addressability
