MEX

From Higher Intellect Vintage Wiki

Mex (Multiple exposure), the IRIS Window Manager, was "Silicon Graphics' original high-performance windowing system" used for its IRIS series of terminals and workstations running GL2, and for its IRIS 4D series of workstations running 4D1-1.0 through 4D1-2.3.

History[edit]

Details[edit]

"Mex is typical of many early window systems in that the window manager (the policy) is inextricably linked with the window system (the mechanism)."
