Tandy 1000 RLX/HD
Description
The Tandy 1000 RLX/HD was a Hard Drive equipped version of the Tandy 1000 RLX released around 1989-1990, and was one of the last models of the Tandy 1000 lineup. It was an intel 80286 based PC Jr. Compatible (somewhat) desktop computer in a low-profile case. There was a non hard disk equipped version called the Tandy 1000 RLX.
Technical Details
The Tandy 1000 RLX/HD shared the product line with the Tandy 1000 RL, RLX, and RSX computers, which were the last three in Tandy's 1000 line before moving on to the 2500/3000/Sensation models. This was the first model to dump the "Tandy Video II" quasi-standard used by the 1000 TL-series and move to the new standard, VGA. Just like most of the Tandy 1000 286 machines it's a 286/XT so it's a bit more limited than a full AT clone machine would have been capable of by the 4.77MHz 8-bit ISA expansion bus, for which there is only one slot.
