FMA2200

Description

The NanTan FMA2200 was an intel 80386 SX based notebook computer released under multiple names and models such as the Bitwise 386SX/16 notebook, the MicroTelesis NBA386SX, or the National MicroSystems 386SX/16 Notebook. Overall, they are all the same machine. It was released in 1991 to complete at the lower end of the laptop market.

Technical Information

The NanTan FMA2200 and it's various rebranded variants were released sometime in 1990 or 1991 in various configurations for roughly $1600-$2000. It weight 6.9 LBS and was a bit larger than normal for most notebooks at the time, likely because earlier NanTan laptops tended to use actual Desktop PC components inside.
