Install Japanese and international fonts

The printable version is no longer supported and may have rendering errors. Please update your browser bookmarks and please use the default browser print function instead.
First, you will need to download and install the package fw_intlfonts-1.2.tardist from SGI.
Note:
Installing this package only makes fonts available. You must tell your X server about the new fonts. You can tell one X session to use the installed fonts with:
% xset +fp /usr/freeware/share/emacs/fonts
To make the effect permanent for future X sessions you probably have to edit certain files in your X installation. For instance, you might include the xset command above line in your ~/.xinitrc or ~/.xsession file, or edit /var/X11/adm/Xservers to extend the default fontpath.
