MODE32 from Connectix was used to fix the "32-bit dirty" issue with the Macintosh SE/30, Macintosh II, Macintosh IIx and Macintosh IIcx which would otherwise not be able to address over 8MB RAM.
MODE32 is a software utility allowing users of "classic" Macintosh computers to run 32-bit clean programs. The success of MODE32 prompted Apple Computer to license it from Connectix for free unlimited distribution - it can be downloaded via online services.
