From Higher Intellect Vintage Wiki

The PowerBook Duo 2300c is the last of the Duo line and features a 100MHz PowerPC 603e processor. The 2300c uses a 9.5" active matrix screen capable of 16-bit color at a resolution of 640x480.

General Information

CPU

Powered by a 100MHz clocked PowerPC 603e processor. Integrated FPU, 4MB ROM. L1 cache includes 16k data and 16k instruction. There is no L2 cache on this system, so you will notice a performance hit compared to PowerPC 603e desktops with L2 cache.

Memory

The main board includes 8MB RAM, and the system can be expanded to a total of 56MB (single 48MB memory expansion card).

The built-in RAM consists of 8 MB of dynamic RAM (DRAM). The RAM ICs are low-power, self-refreshing type with an access time of 70 ns. An optional RAM expansion card plugs into a 70-pin connector on the main logic board. With the RAM expansion card installed, the processor and memory subsystem supports up to 56 MB of RAM. The RAM expansion card for the Macintosh PowerBook Duo 2300c computer is compatible with the one used in earlier PowerBook Duo models. The computer accepts up to 48 MB on a RAM expansion card.

Display

The computer has a flat panel display with either 640-by-400 pixels and thousands of colors or 640-by-480 pixels and 256 colors. The display is an active-matrix LCD; it is backlit by a cold cathode fluorescent lamp (CCFL).
