Introduced in February 1997, The 7300 replaced both the [[Power Macintosh 7200]] and the [[Power Macintosh 7600]] in Apple's product line. Available in both 180 and 200MHz models (and 166MHz in Japan and Europe), the 7300 ran on a single [[PowerPC 604e]] processor. It lost the 7600's video input circuitry, but kept the removable daughtercard and the 7600's memory interleaving feature (neither of which had been included in the 7200). The 180MHz model included 16 MB of RAM, and sold for $1,700. The 200MHz model included 32 MB of RAM, and sold for $2,300. The 7300 was discontinued in late 1997.
