S3 Graphics

S3 was founded in 1989 and was renamed SONICblue around 1999-2000 after a merger with Diamond Multimedia, and the graphics division was sold off to VIA Technologies in 2001 as a joint venture as S3 Graphics. HTC acquired control of S3 Graphics in 2011.
