Founded in 1981 and acquired by 3dfx Interactive in 1998.
Founded in 1981 and headquartered in Richardson, Texas, STB Systems, Inc. is a publicly-traded company on the NASDAQ, found under the "STBI" symbol. The company has established a tradition of designing award-winning graphics accelerator boards and writing specialized video drivers which provide maximum software compatibility. STB Systems develops, manufactures and sells graphics adapters used primarily in IBM-compatible personal computers ("PC's"). STB Systems is the third-largest independent supplier of graphics adapters worldwide. The company manufactures, burns in and tests every new board at our own production facility.
STB is in business to design, produce and sell high-quality products that expand the capabilities of personal computers. We will do this on a profitable basis that provides for company and individual growth. We will do this in an atmosphere of honesty, integrity, enthusiasm, creativity and concern - towards our employees, customers and suppliers.
